A 16" glulam beam in the middle of the living
room! I think the Engineer forgot to tell the Architect about this
The steel Ibeam was the obvious choice for getting
rid of that pretty beam
The Ibeam was 3" lower then the 2x8 floor joist,so
we added a couple of can lights, crown and sheetrock to hide the beam
